Water Wisdom: Change Your Perspective

Change your perspective. Sometimes things feel just out of reach. Circumstances outside your control are dictating a situation, preventing you from what you want. This is when a change of perspective can make all the difference. Things are not always as they seem. New possibilities abound. Be open.

Practice: Choose an example of something you are currently experiencing that you feel you have limited control over. Brainstorm some different takes on the situation. Are there other ways of understanding the situation? Are there things to be grateful for in or because of this situation? Are there other possibilities available for addressing this situation? Write them all down so you can look at what you come up with. You don’t have to like or agree with the ideas, you just have to be open to knowing them. Reread through the list and see if anything clicks or pings for you. Explore that perspective or idea further. Don’t be afraid to mull it over and let it percolate. Change happens in the journey, not the destination.
