Know yourself. There will be many opportunities to be misunderstood. But they won’t matter when you know yourself. There will be many opportunities to be judged based on those misunderstandings. But they don’t matter when you know yourself. When we truly know ourselves, see ourselves, and honor ourselves, we won’t require that from others. And then we are truly free.
Practice: Think of a time you felt misunderstood or judged. Explore what comes up for you. Notice how you feel and the sensations that arise in your body. Do you feel grounded in and loving of yourself? What are you seeking from outside of you in this situation? Is that something you can give yourself instead?
