Listen. Immerse yourself in the sounds around you. Especially that of nature. We have so much to say, to share. But first you must learn to listen mindfully and with care. Allow us to speak to you.
Practice: Practice a listening mindfulness meditation using sounds as your focal point. Bring your full attention to the sounds around you. Play with searching for them and allowing them to come to you. Notice the different sounds you hear. Notice the tonal qualities, if they’re close or far, loud or soft. Play with focusing on one sound at a time and hearing them all as one big symphony. When your mind wanders, which it always will, bring yourself back to the sounds you can hear. Allow yourself to be immersed in the sounds for a few minutes and enjoy what this experience offers.
